in the room with your son there’s a 4 letter combination on a table there will be a blank picture frame click on it with the picture peace

nice game and I know I am two years late but I don’t understand the ending? Yes he died by his own weird looking son by a deck of cards but, what I’m talking about is what does it mean by “It doesn’t matter what are you playing at. You must play on to the end.” right at the end of the game? I don’t know if I am just slow but I kept playing the game multiple times for a different ending and it never worked, maybe I am stupid, who knows?
